Samsung’s Galaxy M series of smartphones is where its budget-minded mid-rangers live. The next entry in that series will likely be the Samsung Galaxy M51, and renders for it just leaked.
Thanks to @OnLeaks via Pigtou, we have some CAD-based renders of the new smartphone to check out. The device is firmly a budget-oriented affair, considering its plastic construction, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, headphone jack, and its very presence in the Galaxy M line.
Check out the renders for yourself below:
To us, the Samsung Galaxy M51 looks similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite. The camera module is very similar and although the selfie camera display cutout is on the left rather than in the center, it’s still reminiscent of the S10 Lite.
We do expect the Galaxy M51 to be considerably cheaper than the S10 Lite, though. Despite the “Lite” moniker, that phone starts at £579 (~$665). It’s likely the Samsung Galaxy M51 will be about half of that price, considering the Galaxy M40 — to which this phone is the likely successor — started at 20,490 Indian rupees (~$268).
Speaking of the Galaxy M40, it’s possible this could be the Galaxy M41 and not the Galaxy M51. However, Pigtou and @OnLeaks seem fairly confident it will be the Galaxy M51, which is an interesting choice for Samsung to make.
We’ll likely find out more about the Samsung Galaxy M51 in the coming weeks.
